Renovated villa near Turin

The light floods through large glass surfaces.

Where once were inconsistently divided windows in wooden frames, there are now splendid modern aluminium-framed windows of elegant symmetry: the gigantic, floor-to-ceiling window wall - over seven metres in width - ensures that the interior is flooded with light. The four-part lift-and-slide door, with its two fixed panels and opposite-sliding sashes, removes the need for centre mullions, allowing wide opening and uninterrupted views to the outside.

The triple and double glazing ensure excellent thermal insulation. The different thicknesses of the solar control glass mean individual solar protection for every room. The safety glazing helps protect against burglars and injury: in the event of glass breakage, the Bodysafe single-pane safety glass simply shatters into small, blunt pieces instead of sharp splinters, while the bonded, highly tear-resistant film of the Multiprotect laminated safety glass holds the shards in place. All making for a pleasant, well-protected home.
