New-build: hotel in Dorf Tirol

What was once a small 3-star guesthouse was transformed a few years ago into an elegant, ultramodern 4-star superior hotel with a feel-good atmosphere. Superintended by the second generation, the scheme involved remodelling and extending the SomVita Suites overlooking Meran. The central design feature is a diamond-shaped grid of black wooden slats that divides up the structure.
The Finstral range offered the products of choice for delivering the project: not only does the FIN-Vista window wall system meet the requirement of large, almost frameless windows affording views of the natural surrounds, it is also a long-lasting, low-maintenance product. The aluminium windows are a perfect aesthetic complement to the interplay of light and dark textured render, the wooden grid and the stone panels in the outdoor areas. At the same time, from a pleasantly warm indoor environment, the guests can delight in the magnificent views of the spa town and surrounding mountainscape.
